I am developing a report in Power BI Desktop by connecting Dynamics CRM Online to show data.
The requirement of the report is such that I need to view last login, Last activity created, last opportunity updated by user coming under my manager hierarchy.
User should also be able to filter this report based on Year, Month and Week. I am able to join dataset as required to list data in table but filtering as needed is challange.
Out of the box filtering capabilities in Power BI do not work here because filter should be such that when I select filter by month July-2016, the filtered data should show me all the users under my hierarchy with LAST login, LAST activity, LAST opportunity of the month by each user, so as soon as you select filter by month July-2016 query should take July 2016 as parameter and count last date for that month and show records for each user i.e for wach user row last date of login, activity created and opportunity created should be shown. The same should work if a select specific week of filter.
1) How can I apply such kind of custom filter here in Power BI? is it possible?
2) Also how shall I get the data only for logged in user?
3) How shall I show users only under my hierarchy?
