How to link a table to a chart

I have a simple stacked column chart, counting actions in different categories per month. 

You can drill into each month to see the breakdown of the actions in the categories. 

Each of the actions that is being counted has an associated text field with it that I would like to display in a table. 

I am having trouble making a table link to the column chart so that as you drill down and click on specific columns, the table update to show just that relevant item and assocuated text field.

Any suggestions on how I could make this scenario work?
