Interaction Filtering Help

First of all, hello, this is my first post on the forum.

I have a data set which consists of data by teams for the past 20 months.

I am trying to create a dashboard to analyze trend by team. Currently, I have two visuals
1. Scatter chart with nothing on play axis with a visual level filter set to August 2016
2. I have an overall trend line (1 line, summarized by all team), data from Jan 2016 to Aug 2016

I am trying to create a dashboard where if a user clicks on a bubble (team) on the scatter graph, the overall trend would show the corresponding team data from Jan 2015 to Aug 2016. However, I noticed that whenever I try to interact with the bubble, the overall trendline would only show a dot indicating that team's data on August 2016.... which kinda makes sense why it would do that.

My question is... what are some of the changes I need to make so that my overall trend line would ignore the date filter specified in the scatter graph... and also, what if I have additional dataset in the future, (ex. Sept 2016). Do I need to go into power bi to change the filters manually each month? Is there another method so that I can skip these maintenance?
