Dear Power Bi experts,
I work for a electronic product firm & has made quite few exclusive & mind boggling dashborads in power Bi for business users that has really helped them in gaining lots of insights . Recently i have been asked to make a dashborad that can forcast sale too if thats possible. Below are the points i have been asked to keep in mind before designing the dashborad. I have last 3 financial year data with me which i can take up as history or base to start my forecasting.
1). Varying festival season :- since i belong to india so we celebrate lots of festivals that never falls on same date,week or month.
2). Competition product releases :- Since i work for an electronic product firm so i must expect and consider product releases during on/off festival period with cutting price competition.
I need to do this forcast sizewise & pricewise for any product for any category be it TV,mobile,Refrigerator washing machine or Microwave. I need this dashborad to be dynamic as it must change as per the category of product chosen in filter.
any ideas how to start this. I am in to ideas gathering mode as of now. Any ideas,guidance or solution will be more than welcome. As far as analysis is concerned Power Bi is next to awesome. I need to understand if it is good at forecasting too.
